An older man is lying on his deathbed at home. He is very weak and has not been able to get out of bed on his own for months.

Suddenly, he smells his absolute favorite thing in the world: his wife's freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.

Summoning the last of his strength, he manages to sit up, put his feet on the floor, and slowly crawl out of the room. He uses the walls for support, nearly collapsing several times, but the delicious smell pulls him forward.He drags himself down the stairs and makes it into the kitchen. On the counter, he sees a platter of warm, gooey, chocolate chip cookies.

He reaches out his shaking hand to grab one, but suddenly, his wife walks into the room, slaps his hand away, and says, "Leave those alone! Those are for the funeral!"
