On Friday we will be organising all of our work, books and other things from class, ready to bring home during our final week. Please could everyone bring to school a large, strong carrier bag- they have done A LOT of work this year! It can come in earlier than Friday. 👍
Looking forward to our wonderful feast and party tomorrow! Pupils will have lunch early tomorrow so that food can be shared in the afternoon. Children can also bring board or card games to play in the afternoon. (Monopoly rematches!)
The weather looks dry for our party day tomorrow, so we will spend some time at The Rec in the morning. Pupils have been told they can wear their leavers hoodies and have been advised to wear trainers and bring school shoes for the afternoon as the grass may still be wet. 🥳☀️
Next Tues, Y6 will be celebrating an amazing year of hard work & progress. (And 🤞an🏴 win.) They’ve written a food list & signed up to bring something- they should know what they’ve signed up for, but if not they still have time to check on Monday!
Good luck to the year 6s on their secondary school visits tomorrow and Wednesday. It’s going to be quiet in school without you! 🤣 Looking forward to hearing all about your visits on Thursday.
Challenge 2: to build a model of a blood vessel containing plasma, platelets, red blood cells, white blood cells and minerals. Things got a little messy…
We kicked off Science Week with some fun, practical activities linked to our Science topic. Challenge 1: to make a model of the heart to demonstrate how blood is pumped around the body.
It’s National thank a teacher day! Thank you to all of the amazingly dedicated and hardworking teachers that I get to work with every day! Thank you for making my days brighter. 🫶😊🌞🌟🏅
As per their request, Year 6 have had a ‘last term of year 6’ photo taken, to go in their memory books with their first term in Reception pictures. I can’t believe how grown up they are looking! 😱
We are excited about starting new lessons at secondary school, including drama. Today we had a go at using some drama techniques to create a retelling of one or more Ancient Greek myths. I’m looking forward to the performances!
Yesterday, we had a pilgrimage service at Taunton Minster with other year 6 leavers across Somerset. Our St Andrew’s School banner was paraded through the church along with those of other schools.
