🚨 Michael Carrick in four months as Man United interim manager…
➖Defeated Pep Guardiola’s Man City.
➖Defeated Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
➖Defeated Arne Slot’s Liverpool.
➖Defeated Liam Rosenior’s Chelsea.
➖Defeated Unai Emery’s Aston Villa.
Michael Carrick has restored Manchester United to the Champions League. He has restored hope and pride. He has just won a huge game against ancient rivals. Carrick now has 10 wins, two draws and only two defeats in 14 games in charge. A team that bordered on a distressed asset … looking a force again. An academy that could have worried about the pathway for prospects being blocked…have hope again.
A fanbase frustrated by a team drifting … energised again. A club together again, Manchester United. As job auditions go, Michael Carrick could hardly have done much more. Deserves the job. United have tried bigger names and not fared as well. Carrick wants the job. He cares about the club. He has good coaches like Steve Holland supporting him. It’s Carrick, you know how hard he’ll work to make it work. #MUNLIV
🗣️Bastian Schweinsteiger on Paul Scholes IG post:
"It's a disgrace that He uses his club downfall to seek attention, I mean, He failed at Oldham Athletic and criticize every Manchester united manager"
🚨 Michael Carrick is coaching at Manchester United and trying his best to get them into the Champions League after a disastrous period under Rúben Amorim, while Paul Scholes failed at Oldham Athletic. 📌
When Paul Scholes went after Lisandro Martinez it was out of line & factually incorrect, when he doubled down it was irritating, but we moved on.
This with Michael Carrick though? Going after a man, a teammate who you partnered in midfield for seven years? They won the Champions League & five Premier League titles together.
It is sinister, deeply personal & frankly sad to see.
🚨 Lisandro Martínez on Scholes’ criticism of Carrick:
“Paul says a lot of things. Maybe when I leave he can come manage the club. I’m sure he’d accept the job. The only problem is nobody is offering it.”
Scholes being a weirdo with Martínez was annoying but calling out your midfield partner that you won titles with after one loss is another level, genuinely what the fuck
🚨 Wayne Rooney on Paul Scholes Instagram story:
🗣️ Rooney: “While most Manchester United legends genuinely want to see the club return to its glory days, he comes across as someone chasing attention instead. The constant criticism of the players and even taking shots at his former teammate Michael Carrick feels unnecessary and honestly a bit disappointing. It’s hard to understand why someone connected to the club would keep tearing it down rather than supporting its rebuild.” #mufc
🚨💣BREAKING::Michael Carrick is set to be appointed as the permanent manager of Manchester United ahead of next season, following a positive meeting with the club’s board earlier today.
Carrick is expected to sign a three year contract, with the option of an additional year, in a deal worth around £16 million including bonuses.
The decision has reportedly been fast-tracked due to strong backing from both the players and coaching staff, who are said to be delighted with his leadership and direction.

Alright, I've completed another season in #FM26 - Confirmation, the game just doesn't give you that feeling you're managing a football club like previous FM games, there is no immersion to the game or the club you're managing. You really do just feel like you're clicking around and just waiting to see what score your games are.
Near enough every save I did on FM24, felt like a story, I wanted to jump back on and play it when I wasn't at home, I wanted to see what would happen in other leagues and see how Youth Intake players progressed.
Absolutely none of that in FM26, I REALLY, REALLY hope that with FM27, they get it right, make it better, otherwise I fear in a few years people will give up and it will be dead.
People aren't deeping how crazy this is. Michael Carrick has tactically outclassed two of the best managers in the world (Arteta and Pep) and he's been in charge for less than 2 weeks, mid-season. Absolutely mind-blowing and he deserves every bit of praise he's getting right now.
