Война в Украине преодолела знаковый рубеж — она продолжается дольше Великой отечественной. И это дает повод для тяжелых рефлексий.

С одной стороны, война сбила спесь с Путина. За красивым фасадом военных парадов и танковых биатлонов оказалась довольно убогая армия. Проворовавшиеся генералы, допотопная техника, похожие на бомжей штурмовики… И бесконечные мясные штурмы, которые дают продвижение черепашьими темпами и ценой огромных потерь.

Например, в боях за один только Бахмут российские войска потеряли от 30 до 40 тысяч военнослужащих. Для сравнения: Гитлер потерял от 10 до 20 тысяч солдат Вермахта в 1939 году при захвате всей Польши. А Трамп вообще ни одного бойца не потерял, отправив спецназ в Каракас и захватит президента Венесуэлы.

С другой стороны, убогость военной машины Путина не делает её менее смертоносной. Она не щадит ни своих, ни чужих. Война забрала жизни сотен тысяч людей, сломала миллионы судеб, превратила в руины множество городов.

И самое страшное, что Путин уперся и не хочет останавливаться. Несмотря на очевидный кризис и стратегический тупик, он всё ещё верит, что способен передавить и победить. А людоеды вокруг него продолжают визжать про войну до победного конца, то есть про бесконечную войну. Потому что для людей война — горе. А для людоедов — источник заработка и хайпа.

Мне кажется, для цивилизованного мира сейчас важно осознавать несколько вещей.

1. Реальная цель Путина не сводится к захвату территорий Украины. Его цель и его амбиции в изменении мирового порядка.

2. Путина нельзя уговорить остановить войну. Можно только заставить.

3. Требовать от Украины выполнения путинских требований это не миротворческая позиция. Это игра на стороне агрессора.

4. Умиротворение агрессора это путь не к окончанию войны, а к её эскалации.

5. Сдать Украину Путину значит обеспечить новую большую войну в Европе в обозримой перспективе. Он восстановит силы и пойдёт дальше.

6. Помощь Украине в защите от агрессии — справедлива, разумна и обоснованна.

7. Запад имеет всё необходимое, чтобы спасти Украину и остановить Путина — как в экономическом, так и в военном плане. Не хватает разве что решимости и политической воли.

El Fasher: Everything edible has run out

El Fasher, North Darfur, is enduring its harshest days since the war began, with food supplies exhausted and community kitchens known as "takayas "completely shut down.

Volunteers say residents are dying daily, and bodies lie unburied in the streets as bombardments make cemeteries inaccessible.

“We are witnessing death every day. The wounded have no medicine, and there’s nothing left to eat,” said volunteer Ali Suleiman from inside the city. Under an ongoing siege by the Rapid Support Forces the remaining residents of El Fasher face hunger, thirst, and constant shelling, while hundreds flee each week toward Tawila.

Before doing so, the paper looks at how the war started and reviews its impact on people and communities, and atrocities committed by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
Last but not least, the paper provides recommendations to policy makers.
