THE INFAMOUS โ AYESU ALIBE DEGREEโ STORY
In 2014, at just 16 years old, I completed my MSCE with 16 points and thought my dream was finally taking off after securing a Turkish scholarship. Unfortunately, politics had other plans.
Determined to keep going, I started again at MCA in 2016, and by my second year, I had earned another scholarship to Sudan. Everything was on track until 2023, when war broke out during my 5th year(honours), forcing me to return home without the degree I had worked so hard for. While fleeing the conflict, I was even detained by the Sudanese Armed Forces after being mistaken for a South Sudanese soldier.
The war, the trauma, and the lives I saw lost could have easily made me give up. Instead, despite hearing the mockery of โA Yesu alibe degree,โ and with encouragement from friends here on Twitter, I started over once again through mature entry at MUBAS in 2024.
Today at 28 years old, after 11 years of setbacks, closed doors, and starting over more than once, your boy is finally graduating. ๐ญ๐๐
The journey was much longer than expected, but quitting was never an option. โค๏ธ๐ช๐พ๐
somewhere in your 20s or 30s youโll get the opportunity to rebuild your life after a negative loop. its very important that you see that journey through
Some people will only remember you when they need something from you. The moment you stop being useful, they disappear. That's why peace comes when you stop chasing approval and start valuing your own worth. Not everyone who smiles with you is happy for you.
