@tonyannett I’m genuinely curious why you think Francis is the one and only pope whose priorities will become permanent. His pontificate has not been especially long, historically speaking, and his reign has been deeply divisive. I’m not sure how this equals “permanent change.”

I hope you’ll consider a tax-deductible donation to help us in this massive undertaking. The need is huge: four of the five bedrooms are already spoken for—and the house is still weeks away from opening. Thank you so much for your help!
BIG NEWS!
Renovations on our new transitional home have begun, and should be completed in about three weeks. A five-bedroom house, this new property will more than double the number of men we can help with housing and essential services!

Anna Silvras
@LouieVerrecchio I bought that trick back in my teens. I was visiting a magic shop and the magician performed it for me. “I gotta have that,” I said, and paid. When he showed me the secret, I thought he was lying. “Ain’t no way that fools people.” But it does, even up close. Nice job.
@SamRochadotcom The song has problems—overweight poor people with EBT cards obviously aren’t the ones destroying the country. But to imply the song is a paean to fascism is simply absurd.
@SteveSkojec I could agree with that if his story actually had some internal coherence. But it doesn’t. And when someone pops up with a ridiculous-sounding tale and nothing more, no evidence to buttress it—then I can enjoy it as a fun little campfire story but that’s it
