Tune in Sunday and hear the facts about the income tax repeal resolution, debunking myths, and why it’s important to place the repeal in the constitution with @benKeath@BishopADavidson and @NickBSchroer
Fake news is a funny thing. Recently a group started spreading a lie that an old law (unchanged in SB888) is allowing parents to be arrested and imprisoned for not vaccinating their kids. This is false. If this was anywhere close to the truth (which it would obviously is not) I would have modified the law years ago as it would conflict with my beliefs and would violate sacred individual freedoms and liberties.
Here’s the truth:
1) the law is decades old;
2) the elements of the law were unchanged in SB 888;
3) no person or parent has been or could be charged under this law given the elements of the crime and mens rea required;
4) endangering the welfare of a child in the 1st degree was merely included with other current laws in a list of dangerous felonies (along with sex trafficking, human trafficking, rape, child molestation, etc)
Please stop spreading mistruths in an attempt to kill legally sound legislation needing to Make Missouri Safe Again by zeroing in on violent felons and pedophiles. Thank you to Missouri Association of Prosecuting Attorneys for setting the record, and the law, straight.
It is strange that one person circulating this lie received a cease and desist last year for spreading known lies about me in an attempt to attack my character and image. It’s clear they have no understanding of the law.
In addition to being Missouri’s state auditor, I’m also a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan and a longtime season ticket holder. So, you can imagine how I felt while I was watching the celebratory press conference when the Chiefs announced they were leaving Missouri for Kansas. I was angry.
But they say the only constant in life is change, so I’ve been trying to come to terms with the decision. As more details have come to light, and as I’ve had a chance to step back and take a breath, my anger has been replaced by a much more surprising emotion: gratitude. I have to say thank you to Kansas taxpayers.
Holy smokes! They’re saying the quiet part out loud. Sure makes a lot of sense why they’re literally standing in the way of illegals getting deported…. They want them to vote
The Senate is set to vote on DHS funding next week and Republicans can’t pass it without Democratic support.
This is the time for Senate Dems to hold the line and withhold funding from this lawless agency.
Enough is enough. Shut DHS down.
If this is your “church” I’d recommend getting a new one. Biblically speaking, this ain’t it. Especially knowing that this is open to kids, this is the furthest thing from what Jesus taught. Advertising this to children is like the wolf welcoming in all the baby chickens. This institution should be ashamed to act like it’s a church
