Ismail Abu Hamad sits in the ruins of his six-story home. He is sifting through rubble with a sieve, searching for bones. Not bodies. Bones. The remains of his wife, his children, & his three-day-old baby.

This is not a funeral. It is an excavation.
He is not mourning them. He is trying to find them.

I have seen horrors over the years, but this is something else. This is obscene. A family was erased by a bomb. Their bodies were left to rot beneath the dust, & now the survivors are forced to dig them out with their bare hands, one small bone at a time.

Thousands remain buried like this in Gaza.

And while this happens, Donald Trump spoke of “Project Sunrise.” A one hundred & twelve billion dollar plan to rebuild Gaza over the next two decades. High-tech hubs. Luxury resorts. Smart cities. Infrastructure. Investment. All while his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, positioned himself behind the real estate play.

Now, while bodies are still being pulled from the rubble, Trump has introduced his so-called “Board of Peace.”

Peace, apparently, is being built on mass graves & beachfront profits. What is being presented as reconstruction is in reality desecration for capital, colonisation wrapped in glass & chrome, real estate developed over corpses.
At its core, this is genocide, rebranded.
