Here is the chef set all together. This project took me 3.5 years with waiting on materials, work trips, and getting pegged in the shin this set took way longer than I would have wanted. Luckily the dude it’s heading to was super understanding about the whole thing. The damascus was made by @50.50forge from 1080 and 15N20, the handles are a combination of African Blackwood and black G10, and the magnetic board is made of a slab of African Blackwood. Not sure if I could be prouder of how these came out. My great grandfather was a moonshiner during prohibition. Later in life he taught my grandfather from the other side of my family how to make shine. I have probably seven days of work in this thing from prep, epoxy, planing, sanding, and routing. With a at least two previous fixes from popped seams.
