On this 29th of Elul 5785, as a year marked by pain, uncertainty, and turmoil in the world comes to an end, we now stand at the dawn of a new year: Rosh HaShanah, the beginning of a new cycle, a fresh page given to us by the Eternal to write.

5785 has been a heavy year for many: personal trials, silent losses, collective worries, and upheavals that remind us how fragile our world is. But Rosh HaShanah tells us that no darkness is final. Through the sound of the Shofar, we hear the echo of an awakening: a call to life, to healing, to hope.

May this new year 5786 be, for us all, a year of true renewal:
- May the tears we have shed turn into wells of consolation.
- May fear and anguish give way to trust and rediscovered joy.
- May the light of the Torah and the mitzvot guide our steps, even in the darkest nights.

For us, the Jewish people, may it be a year of protection, strength, and peace — and may it also be, G-d willing, the year of the coming of the Moshiach, who will bring deliverance and unity. May Israel and all the people of Israel know lasting security, deep consolation, and the joy of standing with dignity among the nations.

And may our prayer also rise for the entire world: may justice triumph over injustice, may compassion ease the wars, and may human hearts open to true peace. For the hope we carry does not belong to us alone — it overflows for all humanity.

May 5786 be a sweet and blessed year, filled with meaning, light, and fulfilled promises.
