It’s been a year since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Since then, 14 states have banned most abortions, leaving millions of women and girls with nowhere to turn for the care they need.  

And yet, there are reasons to hope. 

After Roe v. Wade was overturned, voters in Michigan, California, and Vermont helped enshrine abortion rights in their state constitutions. And governors in states like Nevada, Hawaii, and Pennsylvania have signed executive orders to protect abortion access.

First home buyers are competing with investors with multiple properties and rental incomes. In a time of difficult affordability and rising rental prices, surely ensuring demand is directed towards those trying to enter the market would improve things on multiple fronts?

Hey @ScottMorrisonMP instead of throwing money at first home buyers, why not better regulate how investors purchase properties, flooding the market with high cost rentals and hogging the market?

@shandebarc1 My apologies, you are correct of course. Their quals, skills and training are dependant on the state, the provider and the facility. The residents are supposed to think of these places as home, but who's to advocate for them without time, training and familiarity? #AgedCare

Demand reform to what is an essential health service. Demand regulation. Demand nursing ratios. Demand that they take their billion dollars in profit and use it to hire more nurses, buy appropriate equipment and PPE and improve their clinical skill mix. 10/11
