#OrthodoxUnderAttack: Abiy Ahmed's security forces appear to be intensifying the religious persecution of Orthodox Christians in the form of arrests and harassment throughout Addis Ababa & the Oromia region of #Ethiopia.

This is despite the good-faith effort by the Holy Synod of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, whom in good-faith met with the Prime Minister and called off the national protest planned for Sunday, February 12.

The Ethiopian government must understand that freedom of religion is a human right.
