Rewatching S2E4 it's jarring seeing Team Austin talk about the ransacked Sonic Boom and a charity concert to raise money to pay for the instruments, and then a second later Ally's like "Ooo our test scores are posted!"

Hot take about Austin & Ally, it never should've introduced high school as a setting in Season 2. Cheapened the novelty. It was just refreshing to see four teens act like adults for once and not constrict them to the confines of high school drama.

Season 1 to me remains one of the more distinct moments in Disney Channel history because it bucked the trend of "kids do wacky stuff but also go to school". Idk if it was network pressure that caused high school to show up after, but something was lost the second it showed up.
