Ok @Coles it is time to give your casual staff paid sick leave. @Woolworths has done it.
We will all know where to shop if you do not. You need to keep your customers safe as well as your staff #COVIDー19
Master Grocers Australia, whose members include IGA, FoodWorks, Mitre 10 and The Bottle O, urges Fair Work to impose 12-month wage freeze on low-paid retail workers, claiming the coronavirus crisis could persist until 2021. @australian https://t.co/mnluop9V9R
While everyone is trying to pull together, these guys are using the virus as an OPPORTUNITY to try and cut wages.
Yes, freezing wages is an effective cut.
And if anyone is making money right now it’s supermarkets.
Disgusting behaviour.
Before we shut schools, parents must be given paid leave to look after kids.
Otherwise a bunch of kids will go to grandparents & that would be terrible for spreading the virus amongst some of our most vulnerable.
We need very practical thinking right now #COVID19Aus#springst
Every day it becomes more & more urgent that the Morrison government legislate so casual and gig workers get paid leave so they can stay at home to #FlattenTheCurve if they have symptoms. Their failure to understand this is key to containing #Covid_19 is appalling #insiders
As of this morning the petition calling for two weeks paid sick leave for all workers impacted by #COVID19 has 28,000 signatures!
Can we get 35,000 before the end of today?
3.3 million people without any paid leave need this to happen.

Why hasn’t Scott Morrison given the Chief Medical Officer the responsibility of informing the public with regular TV, set up social media accounts and tasked the ABC with informing. We know how to do this during bushfires. We need to do it now for #Covid_19
