As many of you will have seen, we are currently nearing the end of our 50 year lease agreement. The facility is also in desperate need of refurbishment, but as a charity we rely on your help to remain open.

Online booking is now available for swimming next week.

We will be opening for lane swimming first, and will explore adding family swims once our staff have got to grips with everything.

Unfortunately we have not managed to find the number of staff required to be open this Saturday.

We will be open on the 19th of July.

We know that some are disappointed, and puzzled, about why we didn't open the doors to the pool on 29/03 when the restrictions on outdoor exercise were lifted.

Work has started today to get the pool ready for this season

Due to the uncertainty around lockdown, we are aiming to open for lane swimming only from the 2nd of June.

@TynemouthPool Unfortunately no solid news on the lease as of yet. But we are currently having our second filter refurbished and doing what we can while chasing up solicitors

With the continuing uncertainty surrounding COVID19 and when swimming pools will be able to reopen the committee has decided that it would be best for us to not open for this season.

We will be taking this time to perform essential maintenance to the facility. See you next year!
