i asked Grok about evidences of Uyghur "genocide" in Xinjiang and was totally pissed at what it showed me.
conclusion: somebody fabricated "evidence" by inserting made up detainee numbers into an Engish version of a Chinese document.
@ShangguanJiewen It always amazes me that the citizens of western countries know that their politicians and media lie to them all the time yet still believe what they say about China, Russia, Israel, etc.
@NuryVittachi Very nice piece of history of Taiwan and Ryukyu.
Maybe it's worth noting that the Japanese only took over the Island of Taiwan in 1895 because China lost the Sino-Japanese war and ceded the island, and other territory, to Japan as per the 马关条约(Treaty of Shimonoseki).
@yeojakianpalsa The Japanese don't hate the Americans for dropping nukes on them, but hate Chinese and Koreans...
You see what the solution might be?
I hope you guys reunite with the north and become a nuclear power. That'll scare the Japanese shitless.
@Debora72174569@archpng Actually, this picture shows exactly how far we, the Chinese, have come along: even these people living in cramped small units can now AFFORD AC units, to protect them from the heat.
Maybe that's why after the Soviet disintegrated, the Russians thought they'd be "pulled back into the international order", and they even asked to join NATO.
Now we know that the US pulled Germany and Japan closer, so that they could be used as American bulwarks.
India is in a peculiar position in that 200 years of colonization has instilled in it the imperialists greed. But there are a lot of intelligent people in India so hopefully they will rein that imperialist ambition and let the country focus on pece and economy.
It's that the US will not decline peacefully.
It's not that China will not rise peacefully.
If it was, say, Indonesia, that's becoming a superpower in economics, trade, manufacturing, high-tech, and military, would the US not try its best to "contain" Indonesia?
The question posed for every other country in the world is that if you'd allow your country to be dragged into the demise along with the US. Japan and the Phillippines are the front runners but there is hope for Phillipines to turn around yet. Japan is pretty much doomed tho.
