Marco Rubio: "For years to come, there are many people on the right...that are going to be having to explain and justify how they fell into this trap of supporting Donald Trump because this is not going to end well.” (2016)
Donald Trump wants the power of a dictator—one who decides which journalists are allowed to ask questions and which news organizations are punished for reporting stories he doesn’t like.
This is an attack on the free press and the First Amendment. If Trump can silence CNN, MS NOW, and Politico today, he can come for every independent journalist and news organization tomorrow.
I am calling on every major media outlet—left, right, and center—to stand together and boycott Donald Trump’s press conferences until full access is restored.
A free press cannot allow itself to be divided, intimidated, or forced into submission. This is bigger than ratings, competition, or politics. Freedom of the press belongs to all of us—and it must be defended by all of us.
Ossoff: The Mar-a-Lago mafia really has taken American corruption to spectacular new heights. But Athens, corruption in American politics runs a lot deeper than Donald Trump.
And, see, I get why people voted for him. Because even before he came on the scene, American politics was coin-operated. Money goes in, favors come out. It's been running on corporate money, secret money, billionaire money. Both sides.
And when members of Congress aren't fundraising from lobbyists and corporate PACs, they're trying to dodge getting bombed by these super PACs. Spectacular wealth buys an ever greater share of power over our national affairs. And this corruption is why nothing works for ordinary people.
Donald Trump just did what dictators throughout history have done.
@realDonaldTrump - this is a democracy. You will not be able to manipulate the news or hide the truth.
The growing integration between the Russians - who just paid for Donald Trump Jr.'s private island wedding - and the Trumps is a national security crisis. The Russians aren't giving the Trumps all this money for nothing.
BREAKING: HELL YES! RFK Jr.'s sister Kerry Kennedy calls for angry Americans to protest with a "human chain" around the Kennedy Center to prevent Trump from demolishing it.
Drastic times call for drastic measures...
“Hands Around the Kennedy Center. Friday, September 18, 2026 @ 6:30 PM EST,” she wrote on X. “The Kennedy Center, 2700 F Street NW, Washington, DC.”
She included a link to the RSVP page for the event at https://t.co/W0VuI3sqQK as well as the recent, already-infamous photo of Trump aboard Air Force One looking at secret plans to "DEMOLISH" the Kennedy Center.
Trump shut down the beloved performing arts center for supposed "renovations" after the courts refused to let him slap his name on the building. Now, he not only appears to be planning its long-term closure, but possibly its total demolition. We don't need to wonder if he's capable of such a destructive, ugly act. Just look at the rubble of what used to be the White House East Wing.
This man would rather destroy something beautiful that exists for the benefit of all Americans than have his ego be rebuked. If he can't have his name on it, he's going to punish us all.
The event page for "Hands Around the Kennedy Center" explains that the event is designed for "anyone who has ever been struck by the Kennedy Center's scale and grandeur; been moved by a performance in the Center’s stunning performance halls; created memories with loved ones over intermission champagne on the Plaza; graced the Center’s stages as an artist" or "worked at the Center as a staff member, union member, or volunteer."
Spearheaded by Tara Hoot and Hands Off the Arts, the event is described as a "joyful gathering centered on uplifting the Kennedy Center, her staff, and all the artists past, present and future who have graced her stages."
"This nostalgia-inspired community action allows those of us who love the Kennedy Center to celebrate the Center’s past and envision its future," the site states.
The site also accuses the Board of Trustees — a rogues gallery of MAGA minions and spineless yes men — of having "have failed in their duty to the institution." Frankly, that assessment undersells it. These cowards have sabotaged and outright betrayed the Kennedy Center, choosing loyalty to their cult leader over service to the American people.
"With the future still very much uncertain, now more than ever, the Center needs you to stand up for freedom of expression and against authoritarian overreach into arts and culture institutions. You have the opportunity to make a difference - show up with Hands Off the Arts and show your power as a part of Hands Around the Kennedy Center," the group concluded.
To recenter the absurdity of this sage for a moment: Donald Trump, a pedophile who has zero real achievements as President, who shredded our alliances, destroyed our economy, and launched a failed war against Iran on behalf of Israel, wants to hold himself up as equal to JFK, a leader of towering accomplishments who guided America through the most perilous days of the Cold War during the Cuban Missile Crisis, who put America on the path to the moon landing, created the Peace Corps, and pushed for the Civil Rights bill that was passed by LBJ, among countless other accomplishments.
We'd laugh if it weren't so infuriating.
Do you support this protest?
Please ❤️ and share to thank these brave activists!
BREAKING: Donald Trump, who has repeatedly vowed to protect free speech as president, is escalating his effort to silence media outlets who don’t lick his boots, this time by attempting to ban CNN, MSNOW, and Politico from the White House press pool.

It’s beautiful to see people coming together to protect our national monuments from Donald Trump.
Judge Sullivan has ordered Todd Blanche to turn over the unredacted handwritten FBI notes from interviews with a victim who alleged Donald Trump sexually abused her when she was 13–15 years old. The deadline is fast approaching: September 24 at 11 AM. And Blanche could face contempt if he fails to comply.

É a CNN, a MSNBC, o Político.
BREAKING: Trump FREAKS OUT at a brave reporter who challenged Trump to his face on his banning of three major news organizations from the White House – and Trump throws a FURIOUS tantrum!
This is just outrageous…
Things got heated in the Oval Office this evening as the remaining members of the White House press pool challenged Trump on his decision to ban MS NOW, CNN, and POLITICO from the White House, and he did not appreciate the questioning.
One brave reporter, a woman, reminded him that “freedom of the press is enshrined in the 1st Amendment,” prompting Trump to interrupt her and sneer “oh, thank you for telling me.”
She wouldn’t be dissuaded and demanded to know if Trump was trying to intimidate the press (he is).
Trump got mad. “No, I dislike dishonest press like you. I think you’re terrible. But I dislike dishonest press, I like honest press.”
The condescension and sheer hatred he feels for female reporters drips from his voice with every word.
Donald Trump is at his most authoritarian when it comes to the media. He can’t stand any kind of criticism or the meagerest hint of information that threatens the tower of delusion and paranoia that he inhabits in his tiny, French-fry-oil-soaked brain.
That’s why he hates the free press so much. Unfortunately for him, we have a First Amendment in this country that is more powerful than his insecurities, and he’s about to find out the hard way when the courts smack down his little ban.
Republican Senator John Curtis:
“A Russian oligarch paid for a lavish wedding after-party for Donald Trump Jr., which, to me, it just stinks. It’s corruption, I don’t like it… this is a big deal.”
A razão: "fake news".
Nenhum país vira proto-ditadura no primeiro dia. Começa-se escolhendo quem pode perguntar. Depois, o que pode perguntar. Quem escolhe a pergunta dispensa a rsposta, e quem dispensa a resposta acaba dispensando a verdade.
