We expected a tough game, we got a tough game v the CDYL Division 1 high flyers @MightyHolland U14 in the County Cup. 0-0 at HT suddenly we sprung to life with 2 well taken goals from Jake De Burgh. @MightyHolland got their reward with a goal. It ended 2-1 to @StanwayRoversFC .

@GannawayRobert Didn’t want to come across as derogatory towards Bury as that wasn’t my intention. They are unrecognisable from last season. We defended our goal well only allowing 3/4 chances and took our chances well.

Last game of the calendar year yesterday and I had a feeling it was going to be a physical one. Showed the boys this in the changing room and said this was the heart, passion, desire, commitment and refusal to get beat that was needed.

Thanks to @DulwichHamletFC for showing our boys the lengths you have to go to in order to protect your goal. Now for a well deserved Christmas break.

Second half injuries took their toll and we were left with no subs and two boys who really should have been taken off. But the boys dug in and we refused to be beaten despite having to set up camp just outside our box. Great passion and character from the boys.
