@SMDeane @UKRunChat You don’t really need to eat before a 5K run and if you do I would allow 3 hours before running. The fat content in a meal can cause sickness when running so if you want to eat something then a banana or cereal bar would be a better option.

Wishing my fellow Running Punks a happy & successful New Year. 2023 was a good year of running for me. PB’s for 10K & 5 miles plus over a 1000 miles for the year. Great to meet and run with @e3jtp and @Anarludichism in July. Hope to meet some more of you in 2024 @runningpunks

@gwilymeades @UKRunChat My goal for this year was 1,000 miles. I’m currently at 1,130 with my Sunday long run to go. Facing surgery this year which will take me out for a while so if I get to 1,000 for the year I’ll be pleased.
