Today we had over 80 people come out in the pouring rain for the immersion baptism of twenty three souls. Nothing would keep them from turning to Jesus! The church is alive! 🔥@Stanwich_Church
Students and parents gathered at Stanwich Church to kick off our “Let’s Talk About It” series with an event titled “Growing Up Gen-Z”. During the evening we created space for both generations to vocalize their differences and unify together in Christ.
The folks at Stanwich Church, Greenwich, CT invited me to speak at their quarterly Christ and Culture discussion recently. Wish more churches would follow their example of making time to learn and talk about the intersection of pressing cultural matters/working out our faith.
Here are 21 people joining @Stanwich_Church last Sunday. They join a congregation founded before the U.S. (1731) and a movement that will outlast all nations (Rev. 21:2).
Today @Stanwich_Church we had an old fashioned hymn sing after the worship service. My soul was boosted as I heard those voices singing heartily through masks. No matter the obstacle, the church sings on, just as it always has and always will. #GreatIsThyFaithfulness
16yr-old Eli Hart was given the choice to play any song he wanted for this week's postlude. He chose How Great Thou Art to celebrate the goodness of God. Recorded from his family's cottage on Horseshoe Lake in Michigan. #stanwichchurch#howgreatthouart
