Julay & greetings
I don't have words to thank you all for ur solidarity with me, @GitanjaliAngmo & Ladakh.
While I have been released from prision my phone etc. are still in custody. Please bear with me as I slowly limp back to normal life.
While past 6 months hv been a most unjust ordeal, I do not know if anger & bitterness will help the cause I was fighting for... especially when the govt in its release order speaks of building 'mutual trust for constructive meaningful dialogue'.
Hence its best to see this as an acceptance of mistakes & an intention to correct them & therefore stay positive. I have a lot to say about the ordeal but at the moment I do not want to derail this 'meaningful dialogue'... as Wangchuk cannot win if his CAUSE loses.
My struggle was not for me, it was to make the govt fulfill it's pledge to Ladakh to safeguard it under 6th Schedule & to restore democracy.
We await the next round of talks to see if Ladakh sees a new dawn... DO PLEASE continue your precious support.

I have not stepped away from activism. My commitment to Ladakh remains unchanged.
But activism must serve a larger purpose: a just, lasting future for Ladakh. It will require clarity, unity, and sincere dialogue.
Our struggle has always been for Ladakh’s protection, dignity, and long-term wellbeing and shall continue to be!!
The #SGI has been denying any health issues with @Wangchuk66—despite his stomach illness from unsafe water since day one in Jodhpur jail.
Simple solution: make all government officials and politicians drink tap water wherever they are posted. Watch water quality fix itself. Take inspiration from Puri, Odisha that has made tap water potable.
Extend the logic—make all utilities they run- govt schools, govt hospitals, govt services mandatory for them to use, wouldn’t standards improve?
Accountability tastes better when you have to drink it!!

People ask what gives me the strength to keep going through the fight around @Wangchuk66’s illegal detention. It is this:
1. An unshakable faith that nothing happens to us without a purpose - that every experience including painful ones carry the quiet hand of the Divine
2. Sri Krishna’s words to Arjuna: when life places us in a battle we never chose, we accept it and act - using our minds for strategy, hearts for courage, hands for skill with the soul turned towards the Divine, without clinging to outcomes.
3. I often return to Roosevelt’s Man in the Arena-because i believe it is better to be bruised and striving than safe and silent!

When I met @Wangchuk66 yesterday he said that Winter is over-All is Well Now!
“Now that the winter is over I’m telling you that this was the coldest winter in my life. People say, but you are from #Ladakh. Yes, but in Ladakh we have good preparations. Our passive solar heated houses stay at +18 deg C, others heat with bukharis. I have done hunger strikes outdoor in -25 deg C; I have even been to Antartica. And for that we are prepared. But this was the coldest experience in bed at night so far. Here it was +6 deg C outside and +6 deg C indoors. My big hall cell of cement and stone has 10 windows with only iron bars, no shutters. When strong winds blow the real feel temperature is around 2 deg C (with wind chill effect). It’s exactly like sleeping under a bridge in Delhi. And in jail there is no concept of bed or mattress or pillow-only blankets on cold concrete floor- they were kind to give extra blankets, but nothing to stop the winds from all the window openings.
But imagine-the borewell water running in pipes outside my door is at 25 deg C - a free resource - hence i wanted to design a no cost, zero carbon floor-hearing system using this water - that would also serve as a cooling system in hot summers for all the barracks in all the prisons across India. I hope I will get support and simple instruments like the thermometers from the jail authorities or permission from court to work on this innovation!”
#freesonamwangchuknow so that he can continue his fine work in education and innovation.

@Deshsevak14@RoshanKrRaii Why can't you let religion be on the side and look at the reality!!
Forget China but we will go to any level to get our rights.
90th Birthday Message
On the occasion of my 90th birthday, I understand that well-wishers and friends in many places, including Tibetan communities, are gathering for celebrations. I particularly appreciate the fact that many of you are using the occasion to engage in initiatives that highlight the importance of compassion, warm-heartedness, and altruism.
I am just a simple Buddhist monk; I don’t normally engage in birthday celebrations. However, since you are organizing events focused on my birthday I wish to share some thoughts.
While it is important to work for material development, it is vital to focus on achieving peace of mind through cultivating a good heart and by being compassionate, not just toward near and dear ones, but toward everyone. Through this, you will contribute to making the world a better place.
As for myself, I will continue to focus on my commitments of promoting human values, religious harmony, drawing attention to the ancient Indian wisdom which explains the workings of mind and emotions, and Tibetan culture and heritage, which has so much potential to contribute to the world through its emphasis on peace of mind and compassion.
I develop determination and courage in my daily life through the teachings of the Buddha and Indian masters such as Shantideva, whose following aspiration I strive to uphold.
As long as space endures,
As long as sentient being remain,
Until then, may I too remain
To dispel the miseries of the world.
Thank you for using the opportunity of my birthday to cultivate peace of mind and compassion.
Tashi Deleg and with prayers,
Dalai Lama
