Since I’m seeing a whole lot of increasingly wild claims about the origin of the current monkeypox outbreak, here’s a couple facts despite the many unknowns:

✔️Monkeypox is not smallpox. They are different viruses.

✔️Neither one was created in a lab.

There’s 2 possibilities to explain the widespread nature of the monkeypox outbreak:

-It’s more transmissible human to human

And/or

-Conditions were just right for it to spread widely

IMO there’s currently more data to support the latter.
