You were completely wrong there. Of course, I hold the left responsible for this, but also the right. As a society, we need to find our way back to ourselves. The left wants to save the world through excessive tolerance. The right, on the other hand, is too simple-minded, practically too stupid to even function properly. Both are foolish ways of thinking. We need to return to innovation, decency, and discipline. This new left-right nonsense is what got us to this point. It’s not just about politics, but about what a society is willing to contribute to achieve a better life together. I question myself every day about how we can return to prosperity as a society and stop this process of decline. Neither left-wing idealism nor right-wing delusion can contribute to that.
