@Brosephos@jp_life_legacy The same verse was quoted. Two different interpretations. One side of the debate says “we are right because we say so and we said it first.” The other side says “I’m not sure who is right. The only thing I know for certain is that one, or both of us, is wrong.”
@jp_life_legacy@Brosephos No kidding.
“You heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.” John 14:28
@Brosephos@jp_life_legacy It took 550 regular men, two months to decide what a church believes, and the decision was based on which idea received the most votes.
@Brosephos The Nicene Creed wasn't a statement of faith as some would like to believe. It was an anti-Arian document, plain and simple.
The Council of Nicaea was political, not religious. Constantine wasn’t even Catholic. Baptized on his deathbed by Eusebius of Nicomedia, an Arian bishop.
@Brosephos Tell that to the thousands of people who were excommunicated because they disagreed with the RCC.
Emperor Constantine and The First Council of Nicaea is a perfect example of the silencing of those with opposing views.
@theblessedsalt@TMK19882 Imagine having to follow a man made rule to take part in communion. Now imagine having to ask a “rules lawyer” for clarification.
When you sit down with the lawyer, ask them why the rule was edited so many times.
@UcheMaryOkoli Close… Christotokos
Had other children with Joseph, so, this is false
See above about other children
If this were true, it would make Mary a deity
She’s not a deity, which why she isn’t worshipped
Common sense indeed.
@lordpandaxx@Xtopher_Uzo I pointed out the flaw in the Catholic church’s thinking. I added why that claim rendered everything from the church after that, worthless.
No scripture interpretation needed.
