Freyja, the Norse goddess of love and beauty. She is queen of the Viking gods and believed to be the leader of the Valkyrie. Freyja is depicted as wearing feathers, which enabled her to fly through the air like a bird.
Freyja is also linked to war, death, gold, and seiðr (magic for influencing the future). She oversees battles, can bestow or remove fertility.
Freyja can be petitioned for love. Freyja was born knowing the divine secrets of witchcraft and the Runes.
This is due to the fact that she is part of the Vanir, a people believed to practice witchcraft and have a strong connection to the Earth.
She received a great welcome when she came to the home of the gods, and was given a special kingdom called Folk Meadow, where a vast hall known as the Hall of Many Seats.
Here, she received half of those slain in battle, the other half of the slain are being welcomed by Odin in Valhalla.
“The Echoes of Those Who Failed”
Every victory carries a memory of failure.
Every steady aim was once a trembling hand.
The arrow flies forward—
but its echo always looks back.

“Owls visited them at night. Some thought the owls were witches. Some thought they were angels of death. Some thought they were holy and brought blessings. Some thought they were the restless spirits of the dead”
