Being at the age of 30 and watching people your age win while you're still fighting for your breakthrough. You clap for them genuinely, then go home wondering when life will finally give you something to celebrate too
Real pain is sitting down and crying about yourself, about your life, about how everything just doesn’t feel okay anymore. It’s not always about one person or one specific thing. Sometimes it’s the weight of everything piling up at once, the exhaustion, the disappointment, the things you never say, and the version of yourself you barely recognize anymore. You cry because you’re tired of pretending you’re fine, and for a moment, there’s nothing left to do but let yourself feel it all.
I used to feel behind whenever I saw somebody in my age doing better than me. Now I just remind myself that I don’t know what it took them to get there, and they don’t know what I’ve had to survive. We’re all moving through life with different timelines
Everyone around me is doing better except me. 💔
No envy, no hate. I’m genuinely happy for them. I just feel bad for myself sometimes, locked-in, and hoping my own story changes for the better too.
Always remember that, nobody grew up with the intention of being a cleaner, sales girl/boy, cashier, security guard, taxi driver, or car cleaner. They had big dreams, but life happened. Never disrespect a Man because of the job he does.
