@retryall1 Honestly, I'm not a big fan of collabs either, but even I still understand the premise of them. Collabs are done for two things:
Marketing
Fan service
Not everyone is expected to know the IP they're collaborating with, but that's the whole point; they want to INTRODUCE you to it.
@GyaruGlow So what does this mean for other gacha games like Nikke and Last Origin?
If the government is that strict, those games could be affected severely.
@Waifunomics I never considered Blue Archive "weird". All of the things you've mentioned are pretty normal to me, at least by anime standards. Maybe I'm just desensitized.
But I do find the game very entertaining. More so than other gachas.
@skinnybnnuy This actually fixes things up really well. Nicely Explained.
When I read this dialogue, though, it didn't offend me, nor did it matter to me whether or not Kei was doubting the existence of God, because what she was saying throughout that whole scene made sense, anyway.
I know many are just joking, but i do believe it's worth it to explain this dialogue, as there's potentially a huge misunderstanding going on here.
Kei did NOT say "religion was created by bored people", these are two SEPARATE statements in the dialogue:
1. When she says "people with too much free time", she's specifically referring to Ohr and her sisters. It's pretty obvious that this is the case when you consider Kei is saying this in direct response to Ohr claiming she's very busy (that line was cropped out in a particular tweet, which is a big reason for the misunderstanding I think)
2. She then goes on to explain her reasoning as to why she won't join them, which is when she brings up the existence of God, a statement disconnected from the insult she threw at Ohr before.
Furthermore, if you think the line "Humans created god by defining it" is reddit atheism, then you should know BA has already introduced a similar line of thinking before:
"If one believes that bikini bottoms are panties, then they are panties" → "If one believes that paradise is real, then it is real" remember?
You could very easily just rephrase that as "If we define God, then God is real"
Kei is not necessarily taking an atheistic stance (wouldn't that be silly for a being that was directly created by some kind of deity?), she's kinda just repeating a point that has been already established in BA's story, back then it was extrapolated to certain other things and now Kei is using it to speak on the human experience of believing in a deity as a response to the sisters wanting to forcibly become gods themselves. The point being that as long as humans believe God is real, then God is real, and whether it can be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt or not tends to be less important than the good which having such faith can bring to you.
@AzurLaneAnon Bruh, should we invent a new word for this context? 💀
"Necro" + something ship related + "philia"
Necrovesselphilia
Nauticalnecrophilia
How should it go? lol
@qaw419@pezantri@Action_Taimanin Well, if that's the case, then so be it. I've never seen Taimanin before, but if the absurdity is unironically the whole premise of its concept, then that's understandable.
The others might have a point with their opinions, but given the subject in question, it is what it is.
@qaw419@pezantri@Action_Taimanin As a person who unironically likes huge boobs like this, even I can admit they are absurd. I mean, it's just logical common sense.
From a horny perspective, it takes the cake, at least for me.
But from a design perspective, it's like looking at a building with missing corners.
As an Azur Lane player, I may have skepticism about the fan service sometimes, but not in the same way other people do.
When I saw this skin, I was like "meh, whatever. Carry on."
But seeing other people lose their shit over this is kind of funny to me.
