SOWF'S STORIES OF SERVICE 🫡 Starting off this week of highlighting our Veteran employees for #VeteransDay, we shine the spotlight on #SOWF President and CEO Major General (Retired) Clayton Hutmacher! MG Hutmacher joined the SOWF team back in September 2018 after retiring from the U.S. Army, having served over 40 years in uniform.
As an Army Special Operations Aviator, he commanded at every level during his three tours with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. His last active duty assignment was as the Director of Operations in the U.S. Special Operations Command here in Tampa, FL.
We are so grateful for his service and his continuous hard work as SOWF's President and CEO!

Our Veterans from the Mather Veterans Village enjoyed a beautiful fall day at #AppleHill, filled with apple cider donuts, #fishing, & lots of fun! 🍂
A few of our #Veterans were able to catch fish out of the pond to take home with them. 🎣

Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone enduring the unimaginable in Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas, including those on the ground working tirelessly in the relief and recovery efforts. As we work to recover from Hurricane Helene’s devastation and brace for a second serious storm, please stay safe and continue to follow local guidance.
As Hurricane Milton approaches landfall in Florida's Tampa Bay area, Habitat for Humanity teams are readying their response and are committed to the years-long recovery effort that will follow.

Milton is the third hurricane to hit Florida this year, following closely after Helene. It has left more than 3 million people without power, dropping over a foot of rain and spawning numerous tornadoes.
Our hearts go out to all those who have lost so much from these devastating back-to-back disasters.
Red Cross disaster teams remain on the ground in Florida, working closely with local officials and partners to understand exactly what people require and where Red Cross assistance is needed most.
If you would like to help people affected by Hurricanes Milton and Helene, here are three things you can do today to make a difference:
• Make a financial donation: https://t.co/k8NlKWy8Nc
• Schedule an appointment to donate blood: https://t.co/wdz3c7tj7W
