Taking a few more sips, she sat down comfortably by the fire, before looking over towards her demon brother.

"Hm? Are you purring?"

He kept eating happily, his smile growing more and more. He eventually did something that he hardly ever does, he started to purr softly as he ate.

Giggling, she started to eat her share.

The sister watched her older brother take a bit more soup, before she tilted her head towards him.

"So how does that taste, Nii-chan?"

After she put the seasoning into the soup, he grabbed the spoon and gave himself a bit more. Then elhe started eating.

"Hmm...you'll have to put a little more."

She looks over to see one of the containers with said seasoning, grabbing it and putting more amount unto the hot pot of soup, before she takes another spoonful of it, blowing unto it and tasting it herself.

"There that should do it!"

He nodded.

"I-I put some salt and p-pepper in it. And a bay l-leaf "

He said in a soft voice as he started to mimic what she was doing.

On the sister's case, she's got a spoon to scoop up some of the soup before blowing unto it gently with her lips, followed by taking a bit of a sip.

"Hmm...might need a little more flavoring...did you put a little, Nii-chan?"

He held the bowl with his little hands and placed it on the ground next to him while he waited for it to cool.

She heads over by the campfire with the pot, before taking the two bowls in her hands, pouring both of them of their soup portions before handing one bowl to Tanjiro.

"Here you go Nii-chan! It's still hot, so careful with it."

He gently grabbed her hand and walked with her over to the fire and sat down. There were two bowls and some spoons on a rock by the fire.

"Well I'm glad you didn't hurt yourself doing it. And I appreciate that Nii-chan. Why don't we get comfy and eat?"

She holds out her hand to him.

He nodded proudly.

"Y-yes I did. I made i-it the way you always make it b-because I remembered the smell."

She looked over towards the fire with a pot on top of it, her eyes widening slightly from the sheer realization.

"...Did you d-do that b-by yourself?"

There is slight concern protruding from her countenance.

He smiled and nodded.

"Y-yeah, I made soup f-for us!"

He said in a proud tone and pointed at the fire with a pot on it, which had random vegetables in the boiling water.

That really hits her in the stomach. She didn't really think this through with her missions stacking up on her. She should have thought better.

"So you still were making friends at the very least. That's good. Are you hungry?"

She might as well make up for it.

"I-I didn't really leave our camp... B-but I did find some bugs a-and a snake, and a sp-spider."

"Have you been making friends while I'm gone?"

"W-well I'm glad you're okay. And I-I promise I didn't get into any trouble th-this time. I only dug tunnels a-all over though looking for gold."

"A bunch of recurring missions were dump on me...they were all stacking..."

There's definitely a sheepish smile forming on her face.

"I was...gone so long huh...? Sorry Nii-chan..."

Now that smile turns into a sad frown.

He laid his chin on her chest and smiled happily up at her as she put her arms around him.

"Wh-where were you? Did y-you go on another mission?"

He asked in a soft voice.

She got completely overwhelmed, not expecting an immediate notice from anyone, even then, her arms wrapped around his little frame alongside a giggle from her.

He happily clung to her and hugged her as tightly as he possibly could. It wasn't much, but it's the thought that counts.
