Well done @JasperNP with this new sign along the Valley of the Five Lakes trail. Much more informative than a classic "trails end" sign. In very popular parts of the park like here, off-trail rambles can increase erosion and damage vegetation.

More neat views of the post-fire forest regeneration around Wabasso Lake. While the connector to access the Skyline Trail remains closed Wabasso Lake to Valley of The Five Lakes is a nice ramble of post-fire ecology.

We are en-route to Penticton for the Canadian Avalanche Association's spring conference (a sure sign of early summer). We stopped off this morning for a quick ramble around the Cranberry Marsh in Valemount (with 100s of feathered friends, fresh green leaves, and peaks to enjoy!
