๐Mental Health Writer ๐Riot Ranger Jack Bravo โญ'Lighting chick' with the phenomenal Dallas Stars production team 2011-2020 ๐LOVE my forever hockey family๐
10 years ago was one of the worst massacres on law enforcement in US history. The Dallas Police Department lost 5 good men to a senseless ambush. Texans don't ever forget the good guys who give their lives - and we will always be grateful for those who keep showing up for us.
@rowdyjeepgirl That's still what people with true *life threatening* food allergies do. I don't make my life & death medical issue someone else's problem. I bring several things & eat what I brought. I don't risk (deadly) accidental cross contamination. My allergies are my responsibility. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
@Tasha1644 If you've worked only in male dominated professions you have mostly guys friends. They are brothers, and if you (as a woman) have made yourself clear from the start, they will understand that friendship and no line will ever be crossed. It is possible if that's the genuine goal.
@KickAsh13@loud_socialist I'm 5'5" and 110-115 and I'm a size 4. Believe me, my hip bones alone will never fit in a size zero - that's just not how this body is built. ๐
@allie__voss The number of women with extremely painful periods - regardless of if there is a 'cause' or not - is notably higher than the number of women whose period is 'no big deal'. More women than not deal with high levels of pain, often without an underlying (diagnosable) cause.
@MattWallace888 The number of people in these comments who've clearly never seen two collegiate cheerleaders do a toss hands stunt is making me giggle. I'm not sure what y'all think this is - but cheerleaders stunt around at home for the rest of their lives like this... with the kids! ๐ ๐
@muheediva01 Smartwatch automatically predicts based on body temp - and I enter first & last day if it's off (it's pretty accurate). Knowing when to expect things if you're not a "same day every month" girl is super helpful.
@the98443@bhangbhangducx This is absolutely it. Most recently: [is it spelled "used to" or "use to"] - because as a writer, with things being auto corrected on my phone so often, sometimes when I'm typing I start to doubt myself and suddenly must Google the most embarrassingly simple things to be sure.
@realAAAbbott Similar - Here in Texas I have to keep mine below 68 at night (seizure & cardiac meds cause heat issues, so I don't engage in those "thermostat" talks) - 2,600sq ft house - our garage is not, but we did spray foam attic insulation when we bought the (1970s) house.
@mirrorballmais The most important thing I'd tell you (as a Texan who spent several weeks, twice) - it's not to 'scale'. Distance between stations may look small but be a 45 minute walk or look far but be a 5 minute walk. It's a visually clear map, but deceptive for deciding to walk or not. ๐
@NoFilterSkin Wait, then why are the majority of them here (Texas) "street" or "road" - this state just too big to bother keeping track after a point and they gave up? ๐
@mrmikeMTL I know we did (20+ yrs ago) but I was a varsity cheerleader and we had to leave early that day of all days, I think for playoffs (Texas HS football ๐). So I wasn't there, but I know it was a thing and that would have been my junior year. Parents probably could opt you out. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
@Uglypumpkins1@mattbramanti I guess being from Texas it's just way harder to picture that version, but obviously a very different situation in extreme cold dominant environments compared to here where it's 100 degrees 8 months of the year. We don't even know how to function in sub zero. ๐
@Uglypumpkins1@mattbramanti The more you work the warmer you get... this feels like the inverse logic then? The heat will kill you too, but the physical activity is warming you. So working outside it more dangerous in extreme heat... ?
@Ricky_Kha@ramprasad_c I wish I understood how it does that - it has no such effect on me at any dose, but I constantly hear people say that. I can't imagine. ๐
@Bob69Barker420@mnolangray As a TV/film AC I can tell you this was also due to the shift from Canadian DP John Bartley to Bill Roe. The key light with Bartley was quite different - he was an experienced gaffer, so he knew what he wanted. But I feel for his 1AC who was pulling focus those years. Oh man. ๐ณ
