What better way to prepare for Thanksgiving week than working with @Stars_SES Ss on planning a Thanksgiving meal! Given food options and a budget, they were tasked with creating a menu that fed all visitors all while staying within their budget. #ITFMitchell

Ss in grades 3-5 at @Stars_SES worked on a Spooky Electricity #STEM activity where they had to make their ghosts dance while learning about friction and static electricity! 5th grade explored how ghosts made from diff material gave diff results. #3P31 #4P12 #5P11 #ITFMitchell

Today at @Stars_SES, we used legos to find area of figures! We had fun and it gave students a chance to apply a hands on approach to solve math problems! #ITFMitchell #STEM

Today, we focused on planning and design for our shelter build. Ss also had to learn about budgeting money to "purchase" materials. Enjoyed seeing the different ways our Ss were counting their $ and hearing their conversations to planning their build!#STEM @Stars_SES #ITFMitchell
