@Im_IrushiK Back in the day I used to play a particular online game with @elonmusk and we frequently chatted on ICQ.
I'd probably ask him if he remembered me....
@hthieblot Hey Hubert. We had lunch ages ago in Paris RE: Wowhead/etc. I distinctly remember you telling me to not rent a car and get a taxi instead. You were right!
Is your write limited to $250k / early stage or can you do other deals?
@randy_3coin Hey Randy! While watching you play on HCL and other streams, I built a tech start-up that creates and ships custom physical children's books world-wide. Your play and personality was an inspiration. Could I pitch you the company? It might mix well with your brand!
@geerlingguy I'd be very interested to know who are purchasing the 70k units/week. Based on a few sets of information from official RPI resellers, the vast, vast majority of RPI's being sold do not hit the consumer market.
There is some private buyer who is purchasing all the RPIs. Who?
@mikrotik_com How fast can your CCR2216-1G-12XS-2XQ switch at? I need something with more horsepower than your other CRS518. The CCR2216 has the same 98DX8525 Switch Chip as the CRS518, so shouldn't it be able to switch at nearly the same speed (600Gbps+)? Please advise!
@wizordum Best luck on the launch, I will be buying for sure!
If you'd like to talk Steam launch strategies, I've sold ~million units on the platform, can provide you some advice.
@X I can't verify my phone number to purchase premium. I get the following error on your website: "We cannot send a text message to this phone number because its operator is not supported."
Note: Despite this an error directly on your website, when I search X help, 0 results.
@AggrendWoW SoM Idea: Make the quest to find Mankrik's Wife be a repeatable daily quest, whereas it's location fluctuates yet it does so with a random sampling of mobs around nased on the random location the NPC spawns at?
This would be quite the representative quest for SoD!
@geerlingguy@Raspberry_Pi The folk at @Raspberry_pi responded:
"We are currently ringfencing all Raspberry Pi 5s until at least the end of the year to be sold as single-unit sales."
This shutters a plan I had which had RPI5's at the heart. Time to investigate alternative SBC/microPC hardware.
@geerlingguy Heya Jeff, I'm looking to build a 24 or 48 node (or possibly 96/100) @Raspberry_Pi 5 cluster, but I can't seem to find a location that has them for sale.
Would you happen to know a place to buy a bunch of them (RPI 5)?
Cheers!
@geerlingguy@Raspberry_Pi I can confirm that is exactly what I am seeing as well.
I've reached out to @Raspberry_Pi sales on an order of 105 RPI5 units. Fingers crossed!
Side note: Jeff have you ever worked on 3d printing related to RPI enclosures/racks before?
Thanks again!
