💣🚨BREAKING: Roy Keane “That Argentina’s Second Goal Wouldn’t Have Stood.
🗣️Listen, I’ve watched that back a few times now and it’s clear as day. Argentina’s second goal against Cape Verde should not have stood. Tagliafico is all over the defender in the box on that corner he’s got his arms wrapped around him, he’s pushing, he’s impeding him. That’s a foul, plain and simple. In any other game, the referee blows for it immediately.
🗣️And let’s not ignore the offside element. You’ve got players interfering with play from offside positions, affecting the defenders’ ability to challenge properly. The whole build-up is messy, and the officials have to be stronger on that.
🗣️Cape Verde fought their hearts out tonight, pushed the world champions all the way, and moments like this take the shine off what was a brilliant performance from them. Consistency in refereeing is what we keep asking for, but we’re not seeing it. If that decision goes against one of the so-called ‘bigger’ nations in the same situation, the outcry would be massive.
Disappointing from the officials. Cape Verde deserved better.”

Cabo Verde manager Bubista spoke about the level of pride he has for his team after an incredible run in this edition of the World Cup:
"Well, first of all, good evening.
First things first: I feel pride in my players and in what they did. They did it with dignity and courage.
And also a word to our opponent, Argentina.
I think they showed why they're world champions. I think I can say our team showed how willing they were to play this game, to play this match. I don't think any other team could have scored two goals against Argentina and then taken the match into extra time.
I think that shows the character of our team, how skilled our team was throughout most of the match.
We knew the quality of our opponent. It was going to be a tough match, as it truly proved to be against Argentina. But I think we did our best, and we did it with bravery.
And we never failed to stay true to our identity, which is why I'm so proud of what my players did throughout the match.
Obviously, at times during the match, you have to have courage and you have to be well-organized because of how skilled your opponent is.
But I think that being able to equalize against Argentina twice, after falling behind, shows how resilient our team is and how strong our character is as well."
Much to be proud about for Cabo Verde.

Cape Verde were the smallest-ever nation to qualify for the knockout rounds at the World Cup.
They just took the defending champions to extra time and nearly shocked the world. What a run 🇨🇻

🇨🇻❤️ Cape Verde. THANK YOU. In their first ever World Cup, they did not lose a match in their group and even got a draw against Spain and Uruguay. 👏
They just produced a fantastic display against the defending champions Argentina.
For a nation with population of just over 500,00 people, they can be very proud of their achievements this summer.
This is what the beautiful game is all about.
