@NickySimps I never played tomb raider, so I don't know how much impact her husband had in the games. Feel free to inform me though!
In this case, I do see how this spinoff could work considering how much of an influence Faye has in the story: she's the one who laid out the markings.

@unseisocat Indeed! It's a wonderful way of expanding the world building without the result feeling redundant by following the same character, while also fleshing out and giving depth to others within the story.
I personally really love these kind of stories so it's a W for me.

@ReplayrsTV People are allowed to hate the game for not keeping focus solely onto Kratos. I didn't expect it to be any different here.
But expecting devs to not expand upon their world building through other characters is also very strange.

@RoKtheReaper I never said I EXPECT them to care. I'm not entitled to their views or opinions. I just find it sad a lot of people are disregarding the game purely because of a woman protag, with their excuse being it's "God of War" and pointed out how nonsensical it is.

@RoKtheReaper It's a spin off. Spin offs are meant to tell someone else's story, or one that isn't a direct continuation/prequel of the main story. You're allowed to not agree, it's your opinion though and I do see where your coming from.
I'm happy because I wished to know more about Faye.

@Samaritan_TV Indeed! And in the end, God of War has become the name of the FRANCHISE. Which means it's no longer tied to ONE game with Kratos but multiple. They are bound to explore into other character's stories and Faye is a great choice as we know nothing of her.
