This will be my final post on twitter (has never, will never be X!)
I am angry that I'm having to give up a platform I spent years building but due to the state of the site and the person at the helm-- I can't in good conscience continue using it.

You'll find me on Bluesky ☁️🦋

Logging back onto X purely for wholesome purposes-- this is my darling boy Doug who I adopted late last year and who has swiftly become the light of my life 🐾

To support rescue dogs like Doug, I've joined an RSPCA fundraising skydive taking place in Feb, see the link below ⬇️

Any & all support is appreciated! I feel so privileged to be giving Doug the most spoiled and joyous life I can, one that every rescue animal deserves and should get the opportunity to have. 💛

@therealmgent I love greyhounds but

@allenlikeshorse Greyhounds can’t be let off leash in Victoria in any public area. I live in an apartment building so I think it would be unfair to a dog to only ever be able to take it out leashed and not let it run free at the beach/dog park etc

[𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐞 ❀ @StassiLane]

Why is it so hard to get a dog, I swear they hand cats out like candy but I’ve applied for multiple dogs from rescues/shelters/orgs at this point and nothing 🥲 everyone says adopt don’t shop, but it seems actually impossible to adopt?

[𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐞 ❀ @StassiLane]

@JadeBlairxox Aww thank you, he’s beautiful! 🥺
It is frustrating that apartments are instantly seen as negative when every apartment dog I know lives their best life going to dog parks and beaches daily but I’ve known plenty of suburban dogs that get shunted to the backyard and left there!

[𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐞 ❀ @StassiLane]

@twittyjx I live in an apartment so I can’t chance the pound unfortunately as if it ends up being a heavy barker or anti-social then I can’t keep it away from people easily. I need at least some knowledge of its temperament.

[𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐞 ❀ @StassiLane]

@HornyMaleA Lots of times they just don’t reply, or they reply quickly and say the dog has already been adopted which like.. why is the ad still up for days then? I haven’t had an outright rejection, it’s just hard to even get to the point of meeting one

@TheJesseMoretti @MsBambiLaBelle Universal healthcare has absolutely no drawbacks when compared with a system where people go untreated and unaided due to affordability.
Source: Australian living with a standard of healthcare that means if I need a brain operation tomorrow I get it and pay nothing at the door.

Now someone’s gonna go do this and ruin some vaginas whole week

Why is it seemingly not a hate crime @AlboMP for a pregnant muslim woman to be bashed in a shopping centre? Why is it not a hate crime for @HashTayeh business to be fire bombed and then his house subsequently firebombed with his children inside? Why is it not a hate crime when Mosques get attacked and buses are fire bombed? Why is it that Muslim Australians are gaslit, denied of justice? Why is there such disparity of empathy and justice? It’s because Australia does what it does “best.”If there were olympic medals handed out for racism and bigotry Australia would win Bronze after USA (gold) and Israel (silver). I can’t wait for the next election. #auspol #FreePalestine

A disgusting man. Great news to hear the jury's decision. I'm sure sentencing will disappoint, but these victories are so meaningful to individuals and to the community.

@AmandaValentina I guess I just don’t get writing off a city of 5 million people as slow. I don’t know how cities like Sydney would be any better if the size isn’t enough— and that’s a city where you have to work twice as hard just to have the same standard of living as somewhere like Melbourne!

[𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐞 ❀ @StassiLane]

If you make a post talking about how slow a certain location is for work, just remember it’s gonna be a skewed perspective because the only replies you’ll get are normally commiserations from others also struggling.

[𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐞 ❀ @StassiLane]

@AmandaValentina I’d be curious to know what the factors are that you feel have influenced it. I’ve personally never struggled at all in Melbourne and find clients here are pretty decent, but then I keep my rates mid range so as not to price many out and stay in that sweet spot of busy-ness.

[𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐞 ❀ @StassiLane]

I think my days in the broth really steeled me to this notion of it being slow. It always used to be one girl’s slowest day but another girl’s highest earning day. No rhyme or reason to it so you just keep on plodding along.

[𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐞 ❀ @StassiLane]

Which is 100% fine!! We all need to vent sometimes absolutely. This industry can be brutal. But just remember not to despair too much because anyone doing well isn’t gonna comment it bc it’d come off cunty but whole cities aren’t slow— people just have slow periods
