Every port is a link in criminal traffickers' chains. Break the link, break the chain. At the Port of Long Beach, Pacific police ministers saw how @CBP expertise and American technology enables detection of fentanyl and other drugs inside cargo while keeping trade moving. #COPMIN

A/S Weiland spoke to the first-ever U.S.–Pacific Islands Conference of Police Ministers in LA today: "Let’s make sure the work we do here really matters. Crime knows no borders, so it’s up to all of us, right here, right now, to work together to defend our interconnected region."

The United States is targeting Cartel del Noreste, sanctioning four individuals and 11 entities to cripple the financial infrastructure of one of the most violent terrorist cartels in our Hemisphere. There is no safe haven for those who finance or profit from the Cartel’s violence and destruction.

Today, the @StateDept is publicly naming and banning from U.S. entry Zhao Fugang, the Director of the Overseas Chinese Service Center in Fiji, for bribing Fijian citizens to advance China-based government, business, and criminal interests. The Trump Administration will continue to hold those who threaten U.S. interests accountable.

Undermining U.S. interests will be met with severe consequences. We are publicly designating Zhao Fugang, the Director of the Overseas Chinese Service Center in Fiji, for paying bribes to Fijian citizens to advance China-based government, business, and criminal interests. https://t.co/hR8bWM1Acl

Regional security relies on strong partners. Bolivia’s recent law enforcement operations deliver on the vision agreed upon by 15 nations under the Shield of the Americas on Sept 22. Together, we stand by our partners as they cut off the reach of narco-terrorist networks and safeguard democratic governance across our hemisphere.

The Shield of the Americas countries commend the Government of Bolivia and President @Rodrigo_PazP’s decisive steps to dismantle transnational organized crime and root out criminal influence in public institutions. Arresting and prosecuting current and former senior officials implicated in narcotrafficking proves no one is above the law and strengthens democratic institutions across our hemisphere.

[Secretary Marco Rubio @SecRubio]

The Trump Administration stands firmly with President @Rodrigo_PazP and Bolivia's democratically elected government as it takes bold and decisive actions to combat narco-trafficking, systemic corruption, and transnational organized crime in Bolivia.

Last week, at the historic Shield of the Americas leaders meeting, the U.S. explicitly reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to safeguarding democratic governance and security in our region against the destabilizing influence of armed narco-terrorist networks.

Bolivia's actions demonstrate the kind of leadership needed to make our hemisphere safer, stronger and more prosperous.

[Tommy Pigott @statedeptspox]

The Trump Administration will not let Foreign Terrorist Organizations victimize U.S. financial institutions. The U.S. is sanctioning 11 targets linked to Tren de Aragua - 10 for stealing millions from U.S. financial institutions and one for illicit gold mining.

[Tommy Pigott @statedeptspox]

The United States is sanctioning 21 individuals and 25 entities tied to the Sinaloa Cartel and corrupt officials enabling cartel ops in Baja, California. Rewards of up to $5M are also being offered for Tijuana and Mexicali cartel leaders.

[Tommy Pigott @statedeptspox]

The Shield of the Americas isn’t just words – it’s a coalition that takes action. Today, @StateDept is taking steps to impose visa restrictions on corrupt actors in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru who undermine democratically elected governments. This includes designating Bolivia’s Attorney General Roger Mariaca for corruption. President Trump and @SecRubio made clear: when Shield countries commit to defending democracy against corruption and narcotrafficking, we deliver together. 🇺🇸🤝🇧🇴🇨🇴🇪🇨🇵🇪

In Abu Dhabi this week, the U.S. demands that the UN Crime Congress return to its purpose: preventing crime and delivering criminal justice. Let's take action to stop the criminals who threaten our citizens.

[Juan Pablo Segura @WHAAsstSecty]

We congratulate the authorities of Honduras for declaring Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13), the 18th Street Gang, and the Devil's Cartel as foreign terrorist organizations. These criminal groups pose a direct threat to the peace, security, and prosperity of our hemisphere. This historic designation will strengthen Honduras' response capacity to drug trafficking, help combat criminal financing, and significantly boost joint efforts to protect our borders.
