It was a pleasure meeting with our @USAndMumbai team to recognize their dedication to strengthening U.S.-India ties, supporting American citizens, and advancing shared economic and strategic priorities.
As the United States celebrates its 250th anniversary, we continue to reaffirm our founding principles of liberty, innovation, and peace through strength that continue to shape American leadership on the global stage.
At the Freedom 250 reception in Mumbai, I underscored that these ideals continue to guide us as we deepen U.S.-India ties and advance our shared prosperity through partnership and innovation.
Together, we can secure the prosperity of future generations of Americans and Indians.
.@SecRubio’s second trip to India this year focused around two major hubs of finance, energy, and culture: Mumbai and Jamnagar.
The U.S.-India relationship is central to U.S. security and prosperity. This visit underscores our commitment to commercial investment, energy cooperation, and the strategic partnership between our two democracies.
SECRETARY RUBIO: We have so many areas of cooperation, the Quad being an example of an area of very strong cooperation, that is beginning to actually turn ideas into action.
SECRETARY RUBIO: None of these tariffs are done to punish or harm India. They're part of a broader foreign policy that unfortunately involves a war going on between Russia and Ukraine that we'd like to see come to an end.
SECRETARY RUBIO: That's what we are excited about for the leaders' meeting. At that meeting, they will be able to actually announce concrete actions, not just a nice social gathering, but something that has concrete deliverables.
SECRETARY RUBIO: Mumbai, in particular, is the financial heart and soul of the country. It's where so many of the companies that are investing in and with the United States, and with whom we want to do more trade, are located. It's the financial lifeblood of the country.
SECRETARY RUBIO: We are aligned, and we want to see a world in which superintelligence is used for the betterment of man, and one in which the harms it could cause are mitigated.

It was great to meet with Indian External Affairs Minister @DrSJaishankar and UAE Foreign Minister @ABZayed to discuss regional energy security and advance our shared economic priorities.
On this incredible visit to Uzbekistan, we made great economic strides for the American people through the C5+1.
The benefits of U.S. cooperation with our regional partners are clear in a place like Samarkand, where the potential of tourism and cultural heritage preservation is yielding extraordinary gains.
In Mumbai, Indian External Affairs Minister @DrSJaishankar and I discussed energy security and defense cooperation while reaffirming the importance of advancing the U.S.-India strategic partnership.
At the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, I laid a wreath honoring the victims of the horrific November 26, 2008 terrorist attacks, including six American citizens.
We remember those lost, honor the courage of those who responded, and reaffirm the enduring U.S.-India partnership and our shared commitment to combating terrorism.
