Here's a weird one...
The dates are vertically centred, making aggregating descriptions from multiple lines troublesome.. Unless you have StatementReader installed:)
You can create your own template (if we don't already have it), so thereโs no need to share your bank statements
Ever seen a bank statement with columns as dashes? Removing them from every line can be a time consuming or even impossible task. StatementReader isolates them and removes them in an instant, before they mess up your Excel.
Showing your list of balances in a graphic form is as easy as selecting the colour you like from some conditional formatting options - get started by clicking Conditional Formatting -> Data bars.
Find & replace text like a pro. Wildcards written within the search term of 'find & replace' allow certain other characters to match, without needing to define them exactly. For example HM*C will match 'HM Revenue & Customs' and 'HMRC' but not 'HMV'.
Your IT team needs to know you're working with a vendor who cares. We support our users in-house, resolving queries within 24 hours - often much faster!
There'll be no need to micromanage junior members of the team when you empower them with StatementReader. You'll know the job is done right first time, every time.
Meet our support team, they're technical and sales all in one. David and Evangelos are available to support StatementReader users around the clock, with a promise to resolve your query in less than 24 hours.
Is StatementReader compliant in terms of data privacy legislation? Yes - this is really important to us. Case staff also regularly report back how happy they are that our support team answers their queries in less than two hours!
When the opening and closing balances are stored outside of the transaction table, other tools would have you copy them into Excel - not StatementReader. We do it automatically, in your own bespoke template, to save you time.
Not all bank statement templates were created equal (day 5 of 5). Lloyds TSB send out bank statements with some selectable text and other text as an image, this confuses most OCR applications, but not StatementReader!
Not all bank statement templates were created equal (day 4 of 5). This one from State Bank of India has extra text in the date column that cannot be simply placed into Excel, as it won't be recognised as a date. StatementReader splits out the extra text for Excel-friendly dates
Not all bank statement templates were created equal (day 3 of 5). This one from NBAD has columns separated by I - This affects splitting the description between transactions and extracting the correct date, thankfully StatementReader removes the I for 100% accurate results
Not all bank statement templates were created equal (day 2 of 5). This one from NBAD has vertically centred dates - StatementReader works with this structure of multi lined transactions to split the descriptions correctly for the one row = one transaction layout our users love
Not all bank statement templates were created equal (day 1 of 5). This one from Habib has the balance in amount column - StatementReader pulls out these figures into a separate column for use with our automated validation checks. No manual work here
Limit the input for cells in a column with a dropdown box, for faster data entry. Click Data -> Data validation -> Data validation to get started, then set it up, like this:
So you can make StatementReader a team resource, we've developed a series of training materials which are available to get your colleagues up and running quickly. https://t.co/gA6JaAkHuz
Look familiar? Lloyds TSB send out bank statements with some selectable text and other text as an image - read how to extract the transactions here: https://t.co/8IM6ctVreh
Interviewing for a new job? Make it clear you're the right recruit by shouting about the tools they're missing out on. By bringing StatementReader to a new employer, it'll shine - and so will you.
