@BenCoTHPS For sure! I and think it’ll blow over, it is nice to change it up and if anything it adds new perspective which is fresh. Two of the best Halo games (in my opinion) are ODST and Reach, and Chief isn’t the MC in those.
@BenCoTHPS I don’t think it’s purely manufactured. Fans love Kratos that’s why they play the games. I do think change is good but the fact any criticism is seen as pure “misogyny and sexism” is wrong.
I don’t care for GoW, but if they made a Tomb Taider game staring a guy I’d be mad.
@TheGingerPerks In the “Witcher” “God of War” “Gears of War” you play as buff dudes and kick butt. It’s not anti female to say these games were more likely marketed towards men. So when you take the thing men enjoyed yeah they might get upset. Thats what fans do men or women.
@TheGingerPerks While I agree and it doesn’t bother me.
Isn’t it kind of a fair take when it comes to super beloved characters?
Like People really Love Geralt, Kratos, Marcus Fenix, etc…
I think even if they replaced these characters with other guys people would still be unhappy.
@sneepygrl And now more than ever women are represented in games on every level so that excuse is getting really tiresome. Guys either want a hot chick or a cool and sick looking dude. It’s that simple.
@sneepygrl I don’t mind playing men or women in games and I’m not even a big God of War guy. But I understand guys who are upset, you’re going from this super buff, strong, sick looking Dude to a much smaller, thin, women. Guys have been the primary audience for GoW since it came out.
@sleepy_devo I think most people aren’t anti gay as much as they are anti forced messaging/ propaganda.
There’s multiple walks of life whether it’s sexuality, religion, heritage. When any of these things gets pushed into marketing of recreational things people enjoy it’s wrong.
@JosephTresselt True to an extent. The writers are the ones to blame truly.
Creating a character with awful dialogue, plot armor, and is not Likeable. Her story feels improvised and non important in correlation with the threat of the Empire. No principles or convictions of interest, no flaws.
@SpearOfSpace Yes! Just make them badass and don’t hide their feminine figures.
Side note: I love Master Chief a ton! But I do think having a TRUE new Spartan storyline to follow would be really exciting to follow.
Just nothing like Halo 5 Spartans please! More like Reach characters or Hwars!
