The bank can still engage the merchant if the transaction is refundable. Funds like this are mostly used to purchase digital goods, which are usually difficult to recoup

A mutual got debited of 395,424 from her GT bank account for no reason.

She mailed them and was told it will take up to 40-90 days for it to be resolved.

No good respond, no transparency and how it was taken out..

Today she went to the bank and the only good thing they could tell her was that there's nothing they can do..

She was told that even if she likes,let her sleep in rhe bank.

They also told her she was the one that used the money.

She didn't initiate the transaction but GT bank claimed she had used her ATM card to make the transaction..

Since you GT bank claimed the ATM card was used, why not should her the evidence?

At least provide evidence indicating it was through the ATM that the money was deducted..

The nonchalant and "you will do nothing" attitude here is top-notch..

If it was a well known person or a rich person, I am very sure they will try to protect their bank and solve the issue at once..

Please let's create awareness for her so she can recover her Money..
Let's make this known to everyone..

Palm oil is a raw material used to produce more than half of products sold in supermarket globally

Nigeria is the largest consumer of palm oil in Africa. We consume ~3million MT of fat & oil - palm oil accounting for 44.7% (1.34m MT). We produce 1.02million MT, with a shortfall of 0.32million MT (World Bank, 2018)

How we lost & still loosing our Agricultural heritage should be a concern for our leaders & Agric policy makers.

The kind of job opportunities in the palm oil sector is in 100s of 000s if not millions from production, to processing to technology and marketing it is a huge sector that will drive our struggling economy & elevate alot of value chain socioeconomically.

We lost the fight with palm oil to the Asians - who knows what else we are about to lose or are currently losing.

Nevertheless, if you have patient funds - invest in palm oil cultivation. Your children's children will reap from the investment.
