Pastor, passionate about soul care and Glorifying God through shepherding His people, applying the Word to suffering, and training others to counsel biblically
The current threat to the church that I believe trauma/clinically-informed ideas present, I grant, is a difficult one to discern. However, rather than laboring for clarity and biblical convictions, what some seem to care most about is offending the least amount of people possible.
The inevitable result has been a constant one-sided critique of pretty much anything coming from @acbc against CIBC as well as of those who refuse to take any sort of middle position on CIBC. It's easy to stand against the crazy-sounding, unpopular minority who are simply holding up their Bibles insisting that it's true. But I believe history will smile on us in due time, even as the Lord approves of us now. God always stands by His truth.

Similarly, counseling methods are a better test of counseling convictions than one's accepted doctrinal statements.
