Note this is a Beta test and explainers to follow since there’s a lot here! I want to get some feedback on what works for YOU so I’m letting you all dive in for free right now and test it out.
Highlights!
For starting pitchers you get full distribution of projections which is influenced by the lineups which are editable including lineup orders.
Batters will give you their median point estimates which assume a split between the pitcher and the opposing teams bullpen.
We have pitch mix data including composite pitch mix which is using the pitchers arsenal usage vs a batters handedness to blend the batters pitch mix and create a single weighted stat line for you.
We have the ability to get projections for plate appearances of any batter vs any pitcher.
Umpire data!
Bullpen data!
Remember all models are hand built here; they are more volatile at the beggining of seasons and early season projections should be taken with a larger grain of salt.
Ask questions, click around, make suggestions. It’s baseball season!
One of the best features of https://t.co/hnVmRaSIeu is how we automatically flag streaks and high hit rates.
Here’s today’s Rockies at Angels streaks overview.
What do you notice?

Always be aware of every teams bullpen situation and no one evaluates bullpens like https://t.co/PLdYX4pCHU
The blue jays today should be grateful to have Gausman on the bump; they need the depth into the game he can provide with only a few arms available.
Lowe knocks in the first HR of the day and YES he was number 2 on our models HR list today!
Get projections and all underlying stats for everything baseball and hockey at https://t.co/PLdYX4pCHU
Yup, just a result of data refreshes.
Previous days game stats are pulled in overnight typically 3-4AM ET. An additional data refresh and lineup check done at noon and 5.
Every so often the API we use as the data source will do maintaince - more common on weekends so the data will be manually refreshed later in the morning on those days.
We obviously aren’t in the room when these decisions are made so our availability rules are based on how teams act generally.
Will say, Bazardo last year appeared 4 times in a 5 game stretch once and it was late August during a playoff push leading into a day off; and afterward he didn’t pitch for 5 days.
Sure anything is possible and teams make weird decisions sometimes but generally we are going to call him unavailable assuming the Mariners have a little care for the health of his arm LOL
https://t.co/N0vgVynmXs insights!
The mariners bullpen 😳. Only 3 available arms for them today vs the Astros.
On the bump goes Luis Castillo whose been cold allowing a ton of hits.
Is this a spot where Castillo is hung out to dry with the lack of pen support behind him?
Great Question let’s go through it.
Bazardo is wholly unavailable: appeared 3x in last 4 days.
Criswell and Davilla we consider doubtful (meaning in case of emergency but otherwise day off): appeared 2 of last 3 days.
Hoppe also doubtful: appeared in back to back days - yesterday was 6 pitches but had full warmup to get there.
Munoz also is 2 of last 3 but with the closer role he isn’t going to be part of the consideration of pulling Luis Castillo if trouble arises early.
You’re left with 3 full go arms

No one else covers bullpens like https://t.co/PLdYX4pCHU
The Giants tonight at the Dodgers only have 4 arms we’d expect to have an opportunity to go. Those arms also struggle with high walk rates and low strikeout rates.
How deep into this game can Trevor McDonald go?
https://t.co/N0vgVynmXs
Eovaldi has been one of the hottest pitchers in baseball. He’s gone over 17.5 outs in 3 straight. 7+ Ks in two straight and he’s fairly consistent for strikeouts.
We project him tonight to have 6IP, 5.6Ks, 1BB, 5.3 Hits and 2.5 Earned Runs vs the Dbacks
New update to https://t.co/N7Y8r6l6jg
Our matchup tool now lets you see any pitcher vs any whole lineup/roster at once!

So you can see the full power of all the tools we have at SOS, every day there is one game, with both teams rosters totally unlocked site wide.
With Woodruff’s early exit today you’re going to see a ton of people betting Misiorowski outs tomorrow blindly.
Don’t fall for the trap. The Brewers pen was in good shape before today’s game so before assuming anything be sure to check the https://t.co/PLdYX4pCHU bullpen report
