@DeletedVILLAIN Value is purely based off consumption. its not a quality vs quantity conversation. Investors dont care if Drake makes boom bop rap or pop music. They just care about the numbers
@freshdaily31@AngrymanChannel Drake owns his masters to his new albums (2019-on), and those alone are clearing Jayz by a good margin. Not including % from his old albums and features, etc.
@ManLook75@Sweeegu He is right though. Your catalogue is only worth what its potential for future revenue is. Jayz music is not being consumed, where Drake's is.
@Ikem_Legend@Sweeegu You can look at Bilboard 200 which tracks the most sold albums in a given week. Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Queen, Nickelback, Tom Petty (and more) still have albums that sell well each week in 2026. JayZ has NONE.
@insiderassasin You dont know the details of 1) When Drake will receive his masters back or 2) If he has partial owenership of his old masters. We do know he owns his new albums outright.
Also, Masters is only a % of revenue, he still profits and owns % of his music.
@damonwes35@king_kingkai7 They are comparing first week Iceman vs first week GNX, second week iceman vs second week gnx, etc.
ICEMAN is selling better than GNX did in its first 3 weeks
