@weaver_cards I think the Braves agree as well, and Iโm fine with it
For Tate or Hart to go, it likely needs to be a truly elite controllable bat we are getting back (Elly)
Think they ask for Hartman or Southisene
Id love to say a Gil and Essenburg/Mckenzie start of a package is a good counter, but LHP and SS are strengths of Marlins system
Would not include Hartman, would consider Southisene but not much more (Braves likely balk at TS for Lopez)
@StatsSAC I love this idea. What kind of package do you think it would take to land him? And do you also bring back Dubon for depth at all 3 OF spots and SS?
@Exiled_axe Oh of course and donโt blame you
I think heโs an elite SS
But Braves need truly elite offense so not sure using our best trade chips for Lopez makes the most sense though heโd be a great fit for us
@Exiled_axe Thatโs a valid point
The health of our young pitching depth is unfortunately not there
And I think Lopez is a solid 3 to 4 fWAR player annually over next half decade, but a good deal of his value is tied to the defense which the Braves donโt need to overpay for
@AllAmPotatoes@MatthewChr32563@CarasikS Thereโs no need to go after all 3 of Otto, Edwards, and Lopez
Edwards not a reliable SS glove
Iโd be willing to give up a package around Gil and one of McKenzie/Essenburg for Otto
If too pricey, just resign Dubon
The Braves should inquire about both but Otto Lopez would be such a wonderful addition to the Braves
Exact type of right handed bat they need, reliable SS glove, Dubon with Super Soldier Serum, and cost controlled
He would be worth a significant package of prospects
Grizzlies Game Day
Whatโs lineup if Coward doesnโt go? My guess is Grant starts, Murray moves up. Iโd start Pippen, move Small up.
G1, Dubs started Dray at center and Kessler shot 12-12. They better adjust quick with Edey coming to town.
Boozer vs Yaxel, a rivalry renewed.
If Ced canโt go tonight, start GG.
Yes, his size and rebounding make sense against GS, but more than anything, fill his plate.
See how his defense and off ball production evolve in a game you clearly can and are trying to win
Plus, let Spencer and Grant thrive off bench
The Grizzlies finally have both size and shooting when it comes to their wing depth.
If non-scoring value can also come from
The trio of Jaylen Wells, GG Jackson, and Jerami Grant, that could be a big reason Memphis exceeds expectations this season.

How can the Braves upgrade this winter?
@b_outliers and @StatsSAC explore that question and (much) more on a new episode!

Pike is one of the best in the business, if people aren't following him already then they're missing out. He puts in a lot of work especially considering he isn't given inside access, have learned so much from him
Morning one and all!
Iโm back in the #Grizzlies blogging sphere, this time with Grizzlies SI.
Enjoyed writing about Cam Boozerโs NBA debut, and how even through evident struggles, his winning impact is undeniable.

So even at 2/15 shooting, the offensive impact of Boozer through effective screening, quick decisions, and ball movement was highly significant
