Let me explain to you how absurd it is that Lex Luthor, a canon villain we've known for decades, who is known to be paranoid and always planning contingencies makes a childish error like an incompetent detective.
Luthor is someone who is smart-paranoid, and always making contingencies to close off holes in his plans. But somehow he let the random actress just walk around his inner sanctum, despite the fact htat he knows how easy it is for modern tech to transmit information. He let her have her phone and be on social media right there in his operations base. He didn't install any jammers, facial-recog locks or faraday cages, it was just a free-for-all in his lab. That was absolute dog shit disguised as bad writing.
This is the most careless, sloppy and negligent Lex Luthor ever written. His high IQ is questionable, his character in general is inconsistent and he's lowkey a terrorist. He's only smart when it comes to fighting Superman and is a nitwit everywhere else. Do you know how stupid a person must be to casually keep their plans hanging in a public space? The fact that his lab is even a public space is mind-blowing. I'm certain that on your first day as an intern, you would have full access to that lab.
I don't understand why people see bad writing like this and defend it with their full being. Sometimes, I just feel like Gunn fans know that ts is bad writing but just keep quiet about it to ragebait. I wish that was true but I guess it's not, and that's even worse. The writers don't respect their fans enough to give them something very worth it. They just don't care and the fans keep defending them like a cult.
