Steam Inventory Helper update is live 🔄
Shipping fast for you ❤️
After the major Steam Market overhaul we're actively restoring and adapting everything to the new design.
🔔 What's already live in this update:
— old market design functionality restored
— new price providers added
— inventory grouping bug fixed
— general extension performance improvements
Next version drops in the coming days and will cover the Beta market design 🤙
That update brings back charts, correct Steam price display, wear switching with live prices, full order book with fee calculations, order collapsing and the rest of the usual toolkit.
❓How to switch between market versions:
— Disable Beta: open any item page and click the semi-transparent "Exit Beta Market" button in the top right under the search bar
— Enable Beta: on the market page or any item page, hit the blue "View Community Market Beta" button at the top
🤫 Sharing a small preview of the new SIH design for the Beta market so you can see how deep we went rebuilding Gaben's original into something actually USEFUL for traders 😎
Market got a new look, but the best tool is still the same one — Steam Inventory Helper. Working for you ❤️
Another day, another lawsuit against Valve. A new class action lawsuit filed in Washington court by two gamers, who claim that Microsoft is in cahoots with Valve to push anticompetitive practices.
"If Microsoft lowers the price of one of its own games for distribution on its own platform, it must also lower the price it offers that product for sale on Steam's platform."
"Microsoft and Valve are partners in a cartel over the market for PC game distribution, by choosing to collude rather than compete, Microsoft deprived consumers of the benefits of competition: lower prices, increased output, unique content selection, and higher quality. Consumers were overcharged on their PC game purchases as a result of these anticompetitive practices." Via Aftermath.
When Will the Big CS2 Armory Update Actually Drop? Theories and Reasons for the Delay 🫡
The last Armory Pass update was January 21, 2026 — and all we got was the limited AK-47 Aphrodite. That was over four months ago. For context, Valve usually refreshes the Armory at least once every few months. This silence is already unusual by their own standards.
On April 21, a “Last Chance to Buy” warning appeared on several items: the Train 2025 and Sport & Field collections, plus the Sugarface 2 and Elemental Craft sticker capsules. Last time Valve ran that warning — back in September 2025 — items disappeared exactly three weeks later. The community did the math and circled mid-May on their calendars. Mid-May came and went. It’s now June 3, and there’s still nothing.
The submission window for new collections (Arabesque Art and Arabian Mythology, Spy/Tech for weapons, Auto Racing and Fruits and Vegetables for stickers) closed on March 13. The entries are in. Winners have presumably been picked. So what’s the holdup?

Not exactly a youngster here. Closing in on 30, Steam account is almost 20 years old. I lived through physical discs and lost game keys firsthand.
Which is why I can't fully get behind the unconditional Steam praise. Yes, library stays safe as long as the service runs. Real advantage. But there's a part nobody talks about 🧐
Steam's rules and the SSA explicitly ban account transfers and inheritance. After the owner dies, the account gets locked or deleted. Look 80 to 120 years out and most big libraries today end up in limbo?Automatic ban? Deletion? Passed to relatives, which is banned? Valve says nothing🥲
The picture is pretty cynical. You pay full price for a "permanent" license that's actually a lifetime rental tied to one person. You pay like you're buying something. You're just renting until you die.
OFC obviously hypothetical for now. Valve might eventually add some kind of inheritance or expanded Family Sharing. But right now the policy doesn't allow it and the EULA gives them full discretion to close any account ☠️
Steam is miles better than floppy disks and scratched CDs. But it created a new problem, digital inheritance, and right now there's basically no framework for it at all.
@RealBSP3 I’d like to clarify that many users interpreted my comments about “Steam’s monopoly” in a negative light, but that’s not the case here. I’m not attacking or accusing Steam, nor am I downplaying its merits or the level of service it provides 🧐
What is @CounterStrike cooking? 👀
Added:
🔹 hero_capsule
🔹 main_capsule
🔹 small_capsule
Might just be nothing since they are all different formats of the CS2 logo. But capsule sounds weird 🤔
This question needs to be clarified: are they proposing what’s best for publishers or for users? 🙄 People tend to choose the platform with more users, friends, and so on, while publishers choose the one with a larger target audience. It’s simply a fact that Steam has more users due to the time factor—there’s no point in denying it i guess
For example, games with Denuvo restrict your “freedom”; at the very least, you need an internet connection for the initial activation, and after a while, you may need a connection again at random intervals. Without it, the game simply won't launch. There are no games with Denuvo on GOG 😟
@feralxgoonette Hi 👀
Adding to wishlist is built into SIH settings, there's a toggle that says "allow SIH to recommend games based on your interests" which you can turn off. The game banner is a partner placement and gets removed when you buy a sub.
One missing zero can cost you thousands of dollars ☠️
Traders got a "lucky letter" last night. Butterfly Knife | Doppler (Black Pearl) from CS2 dropped from $11500 down to $1150 on the Market 🥰
You don't need to be a genius to figure out it was a listing error, LUL. Knife got instantly swept up by a lucky auto-buy. For better or worse, the seller caught it in time, declined the trade and walked away paying just a 4% cancellation fee 🧐
F to pay respect
Less than an hour after the Souvenir-O-Matic went live and two new owners already showed up 🧐
The craft itself runs around $41 which is kind of hilarious, but that's obviously not counting the price of the skin itself 🤡
The whole thing looks a bit sketchy, especially with those sticker placements, but no judgment here. Collectors exist to do insane things 🤣
I'd like to welcome the worlds first AliExpress FN Souvenir Dragon Lore to the family.
This bad boy cost me the massive price of $41 aud (+ a FN Dlore)
@TheSharkEcho@Pirat_Nation Yes, but you don't own copies of those games, so you can't transfer them to any launcher or device you like, or play them with or without an internet. The only platform that offers this kind of model is GOG 🥲
Meanwhile CS pros needed 8 chairs just to feel comfortable
A video went viral this week of a Chinese gamer in an internet cafe getting splashed with boiling water by a waitress. While she was apologizing and offering ice, he just asked for a replacement drink and finished off his opponent 🙂
For real it not even a T3-tournament, just a random game in an internet cafe 🤡
Meanwhile in CS, players have been hyped up as absolute legends at LAN events just for grinding a few rounds in slightly awkward conditions 🤔
The classics: Maikelele and fox at Gaming Paradise 2015. One of them found every chair too high so he just crouched the whole match. The other needed eight chairs stacked to hit his comfortable height 🤣
Maximum immersion: a waitress in a Chinese internet café spilled a glass of boiling water on a customer, but he didn’t even flinch.
He was so absorbed in the game that he didn’t even notice the incident.
