After a bit of deliberation, I decided to incorporate the gnr reddish brown frames and dynamic nwr blue for Gordon’s new coat. Looks a bit weird as of now but with a few more coats of blue and pinstripes I’m hoping it looks a bit more grandeur
So then, a heads up- I'm not dead! Been a bit busy so there haven't been any model updates or audio snippets. However, I have some things in the works so look out for that!
@ZoneInsanity Actually, the body shell is modeled after a pervious model I built using a j72! I remodeled it in on my computer and had it resin printed. The chassis has indeed been sourced from a bachmann thomas but will soon be replaced
@austerity1943 It’s an issue with most older oo scale chassis since the tooling isn’t that great when it comes to the frog plates on ho track. A temporary solution is to put the points in the middle of a long straight so that the loco doesn’t jump the points after a curve
Fitted this little guy with new rc components. A 25c battery and now he’s moving much faster than the old model. Hoping that I can tidy up the cab and get his lining decals soon
@KingOfSuddery @shunting_yard I buy receivers from deltang. They specialize in small scale receivers for rc planes, cars, boats and even trains! Then it’s a matter of connecting it to the motor and a power supply. Here is a picture of the old model, but you can see the general set up that I used.
