We are looking forward to resuming full speed ahead as the nations heal from COVID-19. #Lightning season is upon us, don't be caught unprotected! Protect your assets with unmatched quality and performance of our #surgeprotection system. Clean energy today, protection for tomorrow
Did you know that over 45 percent of all accidental data loss is attributed to power failure or surges? In fact, one of the leading causes of electrical equipment failure, accounting for approximately $28 billion of damage in the United States every year, is transient voltage.

Great PennTec 2018 Expo last week at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center! Looking forward to following up with all of our great connections.
A #power surge, or transient voltage, is a sudden and unwanted increase in #voltage that can damage, degrade or destroy the sensitive #electronic equipment in your home or business. #Surge protectors can help protect your sensitive electronics. Learn more: https://t.co/CLGTFeMVbD
“A transient voltage or
current, which usually rises rapidly to a
peak value and then falls more slowly to
zero, occurring in electrical equipment or
networks in service.”
The word surge has
the following definition: “A transient wave of current,
potential, or power in an electric circuit.
NOTE: The use of this term to describe
a momentary overvoltage consisting of
a mere increase of the mains voltage for
several cycles is deprecated.”
IEEE Standard C62.41.1-2002 is the document
that provides the best comprehensive technical
definition and description of surges and temporary over voltages "TOVs."
