@pcjacob4 Wilder doesn't have that in his arsenal. He's about sensing a lack of concentration in an opponent at range and launching a massive looping right at them out of nowhere. If the opponent stays in the pocket and applies pressure, he is lost. That's what Fury did and Parker copied.
@ClarkeMicah I listened to it a second time, and yeah, you seemed *more* irritated than before during that exchange. I still didn't see any significant ramp up that would give a clear indication to O'Connor that it was time to move on.
@ClarkeMicah You were generally dismissive of his points throughout. So how was he supposed to know when you'd had enough of the topic without your just saying 'lets move onto the next topic'?
@JamesEFoster Hamas aren't terrorists. They are the democratically elected government of Gaza. They sent troops into Israel, indiscriminately murdering civilian men, women and children. Entire innocent families murdered. Those are the actions of a government. Not an outlaw band of terrorists.
@RichardBurgon@ForTheMany2020 By telling Hamas to get their rocket launchers off the roofs of hospitals? Or by telling Israel to lie down and die quietly?
@Pure_PS You're aware that Playstation has acquired 21 studios and 2 publishers to date β ten of those since the launch of the PS5? The acquisition rat race began decades ago, Xbox just fell very far behind and is playing aggressive catch up.
@grofley @ClarkeMicah@NanaOHL I know. It's one of the reasons I like him. The point I was making is that when 'dour distain' is your resting face, I don't think it tracks to say "I shouldn't have had to say 'lets move on' it was obvious I wanted to". It wasn't obvious, because he's always like that.
@seerutkchawla You don't see the distinction between children being accidentally killed because Hamas puts their rocket launchers in the centre of dense civilian populations, and the deliberate massacre of civilian men women and children? These are not the same thing.
@BretWeinstein@RetsefL It was an act of war. All efforts should be taken to avoid civilian casualties, but Hamas make this hard by placing military targets in densely populated civilian areas. This is the government making that decision. Hamas needs to be held to the same standard as any government.
@BretWeinstein@RetsefL Hamas is the elected government of Gaza. I feel this is being obscured by calling their atrocities 'terrorist acts' as though they are some kind of clandestine group hiding in the shadows. They are not. Gaza's elected government did this.
@ClarkeMicah@CosmicSkeptic Even though I knew it was coming, I was waiting for it to start breaking down right up to the point it erupted. For me, the discussion was still going fine and it came out of nowhere. So I don't think it fair to assume O'Connor knew you wanted to move on without saying so.
@ClarkeMicah@CosmicSkeptic You have my point backward. I didn't think you were angry at the outset β you've got a stern manner, you're known for it and it seems 'normal'. Due to that, I didn't discern you being any less happy at minute 41 than at minute 1βso it doesn't surprise me O'Connor didn't either.
@AyoCaesar Since you've already opined that attacking Hamas military targets (deliberately) placed in civilian areas is barbarism, and now you've opined that evacuating civilians from those areas is ethnic cleansing. What are you proposing Israel do? Lie down and die quietly?
@S_T_G_N@JMichaelsonUT@ClarkeMicah@CosmicSkeptic I watched the interview and didn't note any difference in Hitchins' demeanor from minute 1 to minute 42. Being grumpy is part of his public persona. I don't see why he didn't just ASK to move on. If O'Connor kept on the topic after that, it would have been reasonable to walk out.
@seerutkchawla They are not deliberately 'bombing' civilians. They are *attempting* precision strikes on military targets, which Hamas deliberately positions in the areas most likely to deliver innocent civilian victims for their friends in the West to point at as evidence of Israel's evil.
